As most of you know we have been struggling with infertility issues for several years now. And we are now approaching one year since we last tried IFV (invetrofertilization). Lately we have been getting a lot of questions of what we will do next, when we will try again, etc.
Our answer is... we've never stopped trying and it will take a lot for us to stop.
Since we miscarried in February we have been working on our next plan of action. We have spent every month praying to know if we needed to try IVF again, IUI's again, adoption, and surrogacy. Every month we pray and every month we get the same answer, nothing... so we pray and fast again. Still nothing. We don't have a reason, nor can we think of a good excuse for our "stuppor of thought", and we don't have any good excuses not to try and/or do all of these things, other than we just don't feel like it's the right time for any of it.
So we finally have come to the conclusion that we are going to stop thinking about it and refocus, regroup, and remind ourselves of what is most important in our lives.
We have spent so many hours, days, weeks, months, years focussing on how and when we would start our little family. So for now we are going to remind ourselves and each other of all the other blessings we have in our lives. We are so blessed to have a strong and beautiful marriage and we need to enjoy it for a few months.
This is not us saying "we give up", it's us saying "just not now". We know the Lord has a plan for us and we are trying to be patient and accepting. "Not my will, but thine be done".
We are so greatful for all of you who have kept us in your prayers. We hope you keep praying for us that one day we can be blessed with children. We have been so blessed with callings in the church and to have such wonderful family, and friends that have given us the opportunity to have children in our lives. Thank you.
Until we get an answer to the prayers we have wearied the Lord with, we are going to focus on enjoying live and being in love!
